The Rep would like to help Girl & Boy Scouts earn their Theater Badge by
inviting all interested Scouts to attend shows and workshops
listed below during The Rep’s 2010-2011 Season. For additional
information and activities please visit our Teacher Resource Guides.

Opening Weekend Only Special - $5 ticket for Scouts
Saturday September 11th @ 11:00am & 4:00pm

Badge Workshop Weekend – Costume and Make-Up Please!
Saturday September 18th from 2:30 - 3:30pm followed by a 4:00pm performance
Workshop price: $15 per Scout (includes workshop & show).
Workshop Overview: In this workshop, learn to look like any character from Pippi Longstocking using simple stage make-up and costuming. You can even wear your make-up and costume to the performance of Pippi Longstocking that follows! Participate in theatre activities learning about manners (something Pippi knows little about!). Workshop is approximately one hour with a 4:00pm show following. Activities satisfy theatre badge requirement for Juniors and Try-its for Brownies.
Sonny’s Family Night - Join us September 25th after the show for a Sonny's BBQ dinner in the lobby after the show.

Badge Workshop Weekend – Me and My Shadow Puppet
Saturday October 23rd from 2:30 - 3:30pm followed by a 4:00pm performance
Workshop price: $15 per Scout (includes workshop & show).
Workshop Overview: Learn about shadow puppets using the characters from The House at Pooh Corner. In this one hour workshop have fun playing theatre games. Learn how to create a shadow puppet and make a theatre shadow theatre of your own to perform your favorite “Pooh” stories. Activities satisfy requirements for the “Me and My Shadow” patch with Try-its for Brownies.

Badge Workshop Weekend – The Show Must Go On!
Saturday December 4th from 2:30 - 3:30pm followed by a 4:00pm performance
Workshop price: $15 per Scout (includes workshop & show).
Workshop overview: When developing a character, an actor depends on his voice, body and imagination. Theater games that include pantomime, improvisation, mime, vocal exercises and character skits help actors master their craft. This fun workshop introduces participants to several theatre games which will help them with acting skills. Activities satisfy theatre badge requirement for Juniors and Try-its for Brownies.

Badge Workshop Weekend – Behind the Scenes!
Saturday February 12th 4:00pm performance followed by workshop & dinner.
Workshop price: $15 per Scout (includes workshop & show).
Workshop overview- Due to mature subject matter, this workshop is suggested for students of middle school and high school age. Discuss character development and play analysis by joining in a talk back session with cast members from the cast of Anne Frank and Me. Participate in a private theatre workshop based on the theme of the show. Approximately one hour in length.

Badge Workshop Weekend – Helping Puppets Come Alive!
Saturday March 12th from 2:30 - 3:30pm followed by a 4:00pm performance
Workshop price: $15 per Scout (includes workshop & show).
Workshop overview: Puppets are fun, fun, fun! This one hour workshops guides young participants through basic puppetry skills using puppets they make themselves. Activities satisfy requirements for the “Puppets, Dolls and Play” patch with Try-its for Brownies.

Step 2: To make reservations for a show only, please call our box office at 407-896-7365.
Step 3: To make reservations for a Girl/Boy Scout Badge workshop and a show, please complete the Workshop Reservation Form and return to education@orlandorep.com or fax to 407-218-5020.
Step 4: You will be contacted via e-mail or phone by Diane Messina, Community Engagement Coordinator, confirming availability for the requested workshop.
Step 4: Orlando Repertory Theatre box office will contact you regarding payment options.
Step 5: NO confirmation is final until payment is received.
