Orlando Repertory Theatre Programming

  • Season Productions: The REP provides family-oriented performances based on classic and contemporary literature appropriate for children, families, and educators.  The 2010-2011 season will include: Pippi Longstocking, The House at Pooh Corner, Junie B. in Jingle Bells Batman Smells, Anne Frank & Me, Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type, and James and the Giant Peach.

  • Youth Academy: The Youth Academy provides dynamic classes, camps, workshops, and professional performance opportunities to children. The Academy's programming consists of a variety of sequential acting and technical classes for youth, spring and summer break drama camps, and opportunities for our students to perform in their own full-scale productions. Its mission is to provide a professional theatrical experience in an educational environment and to create theatre that is by, for and about young people. The REP is also pleased to extend its programming off-campus with The REP @ UCP and The REP @ UCF in east Orange County.

  • Community Engagement: The REP is a proud partner to many schools and nonprofit organizations throughout Central Florida. Arts education is at the forefront of all community engagement activities. The REP has many community partners including Girl and Boy Scouts, Edgewood Children's Ranch, Ronald McDonald House, UCP of Central Florida, and many more. The REP offers professional development workshops to local schools via the Great Ideas For Teachers (GIFT) program; and also serves many Title 1 schools in Central Florida through the Access to Theatre Initiative and 21st Century Learning

  • The University of Central Florida Conservatory Theatre at Loch Haven: The REP houses UCF's M.F.A. in Theatre for Young Audiences program. M.F.A. students take university classes at The REP, serve as graduate assistants and are integrated into every department of the theatre.
