Project Spotlight: The Rockin’ REP REC FEST!

2015 Rockin’ REP REC FEST in the Universal Theatre

A partnership between the City of Orlando Family, Parks and Recreation Department and The REP, this program is a 2015-2016 recipient of a Mayor’s Matching Grant. The Rockin’ REP REC FEST reaches youth from City of Orlando Community Centers. After an intensive arts residency, the program culminates in a final performance at The REP. The program celebrates the intersections of community-based art and musical theatre. Inspired by Mayor Buddy Dyer’s “Stand Up” campaign, which is working to combat bullying, The REP created this program to combat issues related to bullying through participation in the arts.

The REP is always seeking new ways to have impact in our community.
