Orlando, FL (October 10, 2016) – Orlando Repertory Theatre (The REP) presents Rock The Presidents (October 10 – November 13, 2016), just in time for election season. This production is presented by Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs and supporting sponsor Walt Disney World.

Rock The Presidents is a high-octane musical revue spanning the entire history of the American presidency – from George Washington to Barack Obama, while looking ahead to the future! The men who rose to the highest office in the land are brought to life through all-new original songs in a variety of genres: rock, hip-hop, blues, pop, jazz, reggae, country, and more! Audiences young and old alike may learn something new about our Presidents, and perhaps see something of themselves reflected in the stories on stage.

“I was very excited about the 2016 election and I knew that we would do a show about American history, politics, or the Presidents”, says The REP’s Artistic Director Jeff Revels. “The children in our lives are well attuned to the election of our Commanders-in-Chief, and are really intrigued by the process. This show is about the 43 individuals who have held the office of President, but in the scope of the show, we see how our country as a people have traversed these past few centuries.”
