Students must submit application materials to UCF’s
Graduate Studies AND the Department of Theatre. The University
of Central Florida employs an online application process
which can be accessed at www.graduate.ucf.edu. Additional
materials
must be mailed directly to the theatre department.
Priority deadline: February 1st
Regular deadline: March 15th
After March 15th, applicants will be considered if space is
available.
*To be considered for fellowship opportunities, you must submit
all application materials by the priority deadline.

Additional Application Information:
- The
minimum university requirements for admission into a graduate
program are: a 3.0 grade point average (last 60
attempted semester hours of baccalaureate degree) on a 4.0 scale
or 1000 on the combined verbal-quantitative portions of the
Graduate Record Examination.
- GRE: Even if a student's GPA is 3.0 or above, he/she must
take the GRE test; it is a state requirement.
- The statement of purpose (1-2 pages) should address
the applicant's qualifications, artistic and/or educational
philosophy, and
intended area(s) of focus within the program
of
study, and should include how study at UCF will contribute
to the applicant’s
long-term goals.
- Interview/Audition/Portfolio
Presentation: The theatre
department requires applicants to participate in an interview,
as well as an audition OR a portfolio presentation.
The audition includes two contrasting one minute monologues,
and if you are a dancer and/or a singer 16 bars of a song
and a short dance number.
The portfolio presentation should highlight the applicant’s
strengths and experience in the field and should be limited
to fifteen
minutes.
