Dear Orlando Family Stage Family & Friends,

We hope you are all well, healthy, and able to stay connected with friends and family, whether virtually or within your own homes. Like you, we are trying to navigate uncharted waters and are watching the daily developments. Our next steps have a direct effect on our ticket holders, Youth Academy students and parents, actors, donors, production teams … YOU.

The last you heard from us was in postponing everything until March 31. News has changed drastically since we sent that message on March 13. Sadly, at this time, we must postpone the remaining productions of our 2019-2020 Season, with a plan to bring each of these postponed productions back into the 2020-2021 Season. If possible, we are looking at what programming can be offered even before that, in regards to productions. The postponed shows are Pete The Cat, Disney’s Freaky Friday The Musical, and the Youth Academy Production of Pickle Chiffon Pie. These shows had garnered excitement and you will be able to see them as we resume productions at the appropriate time.

At this moment, we remain hopeful that summer camps are able to continue as scheduled. If we can safely gather, we have a super exciting summer planned!

For our ticket holders and subscribers, we want to make your experience as simple as possible. Your ticket accounts are being AUTOMATICALLY CREDITED towards the 2020-2021 Season, without you having to take any actions. If you would like to consider converting your ticket purchases into a donation in support of our continued operations, that would be greatly appreciated and can be arranged by communicating with our Box Office. Please also reach out to our box office via email to request other alternatives at [email protected].  Please allow for a possible delayed response time, due to overwhelming emails, which our staff are addressing with care and concern, as we work remotely.

As one of the oldest theatres in Central Florida, Orlando Family Stage (formerly Civic Theatre of Central Florida) has stood strong through many emergencies, from hurricanes to national tragedies. And yet, this particular scope of impact could prove our greatest obstacle. We urge our strong network of supporters to please consider helping us overcome this next obstacle, only if you feel moved to and are able.

There is nothing more inspiring or healing than the communal experience of sharing live art. Thank you for being a part of the Orlando Family Stage family and we look forward to reuniting at the theatre soon. Our curtain will rise again!  Until then, our Ghost Light burns brightly with hope and promise.

Sincerely and hoping to see you soon,
