Austin Berman; 8th grade

Role: Raymond

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

Basketball. I want to do cooking.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

I would go to the cockpit.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

A Star Wars or combat camp.

What is your favorite part about acting?

Props, getting to act. It’s nice and fun.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

No, I have never heard a ghost story and I plan to keep it that way.

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

Parker. Everything works out at the end with him.

David Butrago-Forero; 8th grade

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

Cooking and playing games.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

To the kitchen.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

Gymnastics.

What is your favorite part about acting?

The interactions and people that I meet.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

I don’t like ghost stories because I don’t believe in them.

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

My favorite character would be Kimberly because she is so bratty.

Gabrielle Fabozzi; 10th grade

Role: Camp Counselor and Alien

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

When I’m not onstage, I love competing on my school’s Speech and Debate team, playing electric guitar, and listening to vinyl.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

If I were on an alien spaceship, I would use it to go to New York City.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

I would love to go to a rock summer camp and make some music!

What is your favorite part about acting?

My favorite part about acting is being able to bring alive even the most impossible and unbelievable characters in a way that makes them feel real.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

I love ghost stories! I’m a big horror fan, so being scared is tons of fun for me.

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

My favorite character in Camp Omigosh is Kimberly. IT’s awesome, and hilarious, to see this dramatic fish-out-of-water character grow into someone who holds her own against the craziness camp throws at her.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

Outside of theatre I like to go horseback riding, sing, read, and hang out with friends.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

If I was in an alien spaceship I would probably go wherever they keep the animals.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

If I could go to any summer camp in the world I would go to a camp about musical theatre or zoology.

What is your favorite part about acting?

My favorite part about acting is how you get to be a whole new person, and create a background for the person you’re playing.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

I kind of like ghost stories because it really depends where it takes place and how real it is.

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

My favorite character in the show is Kimberly. I love how she’s the definition of a spoiled rich girl but you still love her even though she’s kind of a brat.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

Dance, Softball.

Control center or weapons.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

Musical theatre.

What is your favorite part about acting?

Being able to have a whole new personality.

Yes, I like to be scared and to watch others get scared.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

Building LEGOs. Reading comics (Dogman or Investigators). Listening to Adventures in Odyssey. Watching TV.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

The place where you steer the ship.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

LEGO camp.

What is your favorite part about acting?

Just the idea of being in a show I love.

No; they can sometimes creep me out.

What is your favorite scene in Camp Omigosh?

The scene of the invisible boxes.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

Reading, Cooking, Writing, Poetry, Art

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

I would explore the Universe…see if there is more out there.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

Sleep away camp for the Arts!

What is your favorite part about acting?

Seeing the show come together piece by piece.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

I do because it’s an insight on someone else’s life (if its a true story).

What is your favorite scene in Camp Omigosh?

My favorite scene is the fight scene because the girls did so well making it seem real.

Chloe Kennedy, 7th grade

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

Well outside of theatre I actually love the water and baking. I can wakeboard, I’m a strong swimmer, and I love waterslides! My favorite thing to bake is chocolate chip cookies!

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

I would definitely go to Saturn and the moon to have no gravity and float around!

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

I would go to a summer camp that focuses on acting. Or I would learn all about ziplines!

What is your favorite part about acting?

My favorite part is when a show is put together and performed on opening night with all of our costumes, lighting, and set pieces!

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

I’m in LOVE with ghost stories, myths, and movies! I like them because they give me a good scare. Hahaha!

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

I love all the alien creatures because I get to see abnormal movement and different ways of presenting a character!

Madisyn Marchetti; 9th grade

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

Besides acting, I also enjoy singing, songwriting, being on Twitter and talking to friends!

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

I would go to the alien’s planet and see their way of life! I wonder who’s famous there!

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

I would go to an all music camp! I love music so much and I would love to spend one summer singing, dancing, and learning more about the music industry!

What is your favorite part about acting?

My favorite part is being able to make friends that have the same interests as me! I also really like learning the choreography for the scenes!

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

I kinda do, but also no! When I was younger, I would get super scared about those types of stories. Now that I’m older, I’ve learned that they are truly not real, and kinda funny to tell!

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

My favorite character is Kimberly! As a person who loves musicals and Broadway, Kimberly is very relatable! If I was in the situation she was in, I would act like that too!

Kyla Mazzotta; 10th grade

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

Some of my hobbies outside of theatre include playing my instruments (piano, guitar, and ukulele), reading books, mainly mystery, and spending time with my family and friends.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

I would go directly to the engineering room of the ship, and then the controls, maybe the weapons room.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

I would like to go to a weapons camp and learn about different weapons and how to use them (martial arts, knives, bows, bow & arrow, etc.)

What is your favorite part about acting?

One of my favorite parts of acting is becoming/stepping into a person you wouldn’t be/aren’t. And I love the relationships you build with the actors.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

Yes! I love them because I can scare those around me and hear about the different ideas people have. Then I would use detective skills to figure out if they are real.

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

I love Ulah with the bottom of my heart. She is always there to help everyone but she never knows what to do. She has to act one way but hilariously weird in her own way. She is perfect.

Natalie McCoy; 9th grade

Role: Kimberly

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

Besides my theatrical endeavors, I spend my time reading, writing, drawing, sketching, painting, baking, and stargazing. I also enjoy spending time with my amazing little sis, Emilia.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

On an alien spaceship, I would travel to the spiral nebula Messier 101, a spiral galaxy roughly 21 million lightyears away from Earth. In Madeleine L’Engle’s famed book A Wrinkle in Time, it was host to a planet of friendly plant creatures that I’d love to meet.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

If I could go to any kind of summer camp, I would go to an invention/art camp with Leonardo da Vinci as the head teacher. 

What is your favorite part about acting?

My favorite part of performing is getting the opportunity to delve into the intricate and intriguing details of a character, bringing them to life, and creating a genuine and unique story onstage. Storytelling drives me and gives me the opportunity to produce memorable performances.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

I love ghost stories – specifically the ones that hone in on a certain event in history. It is that chilling feeling of tying a tragic event from the past to a present haunting that makes ghost stories truly exciting.

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

My favorite character from Camp Omigosh is Mr. Warren. He has hilarious lines as well as unique character traits that you sure don’t find at any average summer camp.

Hannah Moribe; 10th grade

Role: Camp Counselor and Rich Alien

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

I love to write songs on my ukulele and listen to music.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

I would love to see the cafeteria on the ship to see what kind of food they serve.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

I want to go to a recording studio summer camp so I can record songs.

What is your favorite part about acting?

Being on stage is one of the most freeing experiences in the world. You can be whoever you want to be, and truly challenge your skills by embodying those characters.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

I do like ghost stories, because they can make sleepovers and camps a lot more eventful and adventurous.

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

My favorite character is Kimberly, because she is absolutely hilarious and overdramatic. 

Josh Miller; 8th grade

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

I like to fish, kayak, and watch TV.

I would go to the cafeteria.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

I’d like to go to a camp for music.

What is your favorite part about acting?

I like being able to move around and have fun with friends.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

Yes, they are fun and kinda creepy.

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

My favorite is Connor. He just seems like a normal kid thrust into a hero role. 

Kenzi Nash; 10th grade

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

I love to sing and write songs with my family.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

To the pantry, to try all of the alien snacks!

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

A camp on the lake with my family and friends!

What is your favorite part about acting?

Bonding with your castmates, and working together to make an amazing show!

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

I like ghost stories, but only if they are not too scary! (If s’mores ain’t there, Kenzi ain’t there.)

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

My favorite characters are Vanessa and Tessa. I love how they’re always in sync! I also love the bestie moments!

Jacob Odongo; 8th grade

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

Outside of theatre I do volleyball and band.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

I would go to the technology station to play with the gadgets.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

I would go to a vacation camp with friends just to hang out.

What is your favorite part about acting?

Working with castmates.

I don’t like ghost stories because sometimes they seem too real.

My favorite character is Mr. Warren because he is a mysterious yet energetic character.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

I enjoy reading, singing, video games, and spending time with my friends and family.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

I would go to another galaxy that has a planet with some form of life. I’m curious what other forms there are!

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

I would go to a musical theatre summer camp because of my love for singing, dancing, and acting.

What is your favorite part about acting?

I love the community and how everyone bonds with each other in the cast! I think it’s crucial for each experience so not only do we get along backstage, but onstage as well!

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

I do like ghost stories because some of them have a lot of different theories and can be mysteries, too. Sometimes the audience has to come up with an ending on their own.

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

I love Tasha because she’s always looking to find mysteries worth solving. It would be fun to hang out with her for sure because of the energy she gives off and her encouragement to explore.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

I like to draw, and I love dinosaurs and dragons, and I have a bearded dragon.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

EVERYWHERE!

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

I would love to go to a reptile camp.

What is your favorite part about acting?

I love the fun activities and seeing everyone on stage because it gets really funny.

Yes. I think they’re cool.

I like Kimberly because she is so dramatic and violent. My favorite scene is when Kimberly fights herself.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

I like to sing and dance outside of theatre.

If I was on an alien spaceship I would go to Mars!

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

I would go to a horror summer camp.

What is your favorite part about acting?

My favorite part about acting is seeing the show come together.

I love ghost stories because they can be so interesting and scary.

My favorite character in Camp Omigosh is the alien.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

When I’m not performing you can find me training at my dance studio, Marshall Ellis Dance School! My favorite styles are ballet/pointe, tap, and contemporary!

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

On an alien spaceship I would fly to the moon so I could float weightlessly and discover what lies on the other side that the sun doesn’t cover.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

If I could go to any summer camp in the world, I would go to a costume design camp because I’ve always wanted to learn how to sew my own intricate designs!

What is your favorite part about acting?

My favorite part about acting is being able to tell and create a story. I love coming up with backstories for my characters and collaborating with other actors on all the little details that bring the show to life!

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

I really like ghost stories because of the element of suspense that sends chills up your spine. They always surprise me in the ways I’d least expect it, which makes them so much fun to read!

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

My favorite character in Camp Omigosh is Mr. Warren. He has such an energetic, quirky personality, but he’s full of secrets and mystery!

Lily Mae Stahlman; 8th grade

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

I enjoy writing, reading, and debate.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

On an alien spaceship I would go around the universe and search for a multiverse.

What is your favorite part about acting?

I love the interaction I make with other people (the cast and all of the tech). I love love love when tech week comes around because I enjoy being in costume and performing with full effect.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

No, because I am very easy to scare and do not enjoy any aspect of horror.

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

My favorite character besides my own is Ms. Finkle. She’s just so funny to me and I can relate to her craze for food (coffee is technically food, right?)

Amy Wang; 10th grade

Role: Coach Dunbom

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

My hobbies outside of theatre are usually art, watch movies, anime, read fanfics, sometimes travel, make props/clothes for cosplay and music like piano and violin. For free time I like volleyball.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

If I were on an alien spaceship I would go to the dining hall to see what they eat. I also wanna see the captain’s quarters and go to different planets and be the alien queen.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

Personally for me I would go to these out of country summer camps to experience different cultures. Or a camp for acting or archeology.

What is your favorite part about acting/working backstage?

My favorite part about acting is getting to play a character that isn’t me and getting to be someone else. If I work backstage I get to learn new things and try new things.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

They’re okay. I find scary ghost stories interesting like legends because I’m a curious person to know if they’re real or what happened to them. Or the events and ghost spotting.

Besides your own, who is your favorite character in Camp Omigosh and why?

My favorite character in the play would be Warren or Kimberley. I find Warren very interesting and the type to be very nervous when someone gets on his nerves. Kimberly on the other hand is someone I relate to when it comes to being a brat and doesn’t like nature.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

I enjoy writing and listening to music.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

I would probably go to the control center and crash it.

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

A writing camp, to help improve my writing skills.

What is your favorite part about acting?

Being able to work creatively with others and make new friends.

Do you like ghost stories? Why or why not?

Yes, I like being able to tell the stories and scaring the people listening.

Kimberly because I like her attitude.

What hobbies or interests do you have outside of theatre?

I enjoy swimming, hanging out with friends and family, and gardening.

Where would you go on an alien spaceship?

I would go to the place where they make all the vehicles. Space golf carts!

If you could go to any kind of summer camp in the world, what would it be?

I would love to go to a camp where I can get a head start on learning how to drive.

What is your favorite part about acting?

My favorite part about acting is that I get to do it with other people. I love laughing and getting to know my castmates.

Yes! They are so fun to tell and listen to.

My favorite characters in the show are Mary and Dezi. They both have so much energy and are so enthusiastic!
