Bianca Alamo is a third year M.F.A. Theatre for Young Audiences graduate candidate at the University of Central Florida. Her most recent REP credits include Coordinator for Writes of Spring 2019 Neighborhood Watch and Assistant Director for YA show My Son Pinocchio Jr.

Emma Boles

Emma Boles is a junior at Loyola University Chicago. In February Emma assistant directed “Fun Home” at Loyola and last summer she worked on a multitude of camps from Harry Potter to Escape Rooms at Orlando REP. Emma has been at Orlando REP in camps and productions since she was 7 years old and is so excited to be back for a second summer at Orlando REP teaching and creating moments for the next generation of talent.

Michael Cerasoli

Mr. Mike is so excited to work with you and help you achieve your best performance! He is an actor who has performed and sung on stages all across Florida, and is passionate about sharing his love of entertainment with everyone he can. He has been a coach and director to kids for many years, and has been privileged to work and teach alongside amazing people (like Disney’s Raven-Symoné from Raven’s Home!). He can’t wait to be your Assistant Director and get to know his new cast.

Heather Charles

Heather Charles is thrilled to return for her 7th summer as a teaching artist and musical director at the REP. A graduate of Boston Conservatory and proud member of Actors’ Equity Association she has been seen performing professionally in over 25 states in such roles as Christine in ”Phantom” at The Springer Opera House and Ghost of Christmas Past in the NTC National tour of “A Christmas Carol”. Favorite roles in Central Florida include The Baker’s Wife in “Into the Woods” at Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, Eliza in “My Fair Lady” at Mad Cow Theatre and 5 years of “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” at Winter Park Playhouse. She is seen frequently performing at both Universal Studios Orlando in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and at the Walt Disney World Resort. Heather has been a vocal instructor and performance coach for over 15 years and finds great joy in watching brave young performers find joy and confidence in their work.

Morgan Cobb

Morgan is a first year MFA Theatre for Young Audiences candidate at UCF. She is from North Carolina where she earned her undergraduate BFA in Theatre for Youth at East Carolina University. She has a background in musical theatre and is a certified actor combatant. This past season she worked at the Education Intern at Orlando REP and is excited to continue working in partnership with the REP and UCF!

Chanel Gomaa

Chanel Gomaa graduated from the University of Central Florida in May of 2019, with a degree in Theatre Studies and a minor in Creative Writing.  She has had the privilege of performing, teaching, directing and choreographing for companies and theatres like the Wekiva River Players, Southern Arts Events, The Institute of Reading Development, The Flagler Playhouse, Daytona State College, UCF, the Orlando Rep, and more.  Additionally, Chanel performs and competes with spoken word poetry.  She has represented UCF, as well as the cities of Orlando and Deland Florida on multiple national stages, as part of a team or as an individual poet.  Her collection of poetry, entitled “Lessons on Being the Muslim in the Room”, was a semi-finalist in the 2019 Button Poetry Chapbook Contest; her work has also been featured and published by TeenInk Literary Magazine, and Slamfind.com.

Gisella Hernandez

Gisella Maria Hernandez is a bilingual actress and teacher. As an actress, she has appeared in The Street of Crocodiles and The Refugee Plays on the UCF stage, When Coquis Sing and Perspectives: Just Like Us on the Orlando Repertory Theater Stage. As a teacher, she continues to be a part of the Bilingual EYEPLAY program and teaches themed drama classes at the Orlando Repertory Theater. Gisella is a student at the University of Central Florida in her senior year (Graduation December 2019) with a major in Theatre (Acting Concentration).

Bryan Jager

Bryan is a local actor, writer, and director, and is thrilled to be working with the Orlando Repertory Theatre! He’s performed with the Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando, Mad Cow Theatre, and many shows at the Orlando Rep. As a writer/ director, he’s had work produced in New York, Chicago, and right in town at the Orlando Fringe Festival.

Carmen Medina

Carmen has more than 20 years of experience in theatre, opera, and film as a wigmaker, wig stylist, and makeup artist. More recently, she has added wax figure hair application and styling to her bag of tricks! This is her third full season at Orlando REP creating wig styles and headdresses (not always out of actual hair) and her second season helping to teach the very popular FACE-OFF Makeup Class, which she enjoys very much.

Laura Mejia

Laura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Central Florida and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. Originally from Colombia, Laura moved to the United States at the age of 10, and discovered her passion for the performing arts at the age of 13 when she performed in her first production with a local Spanish-speaking acting group. Since then, she has been involved in multiple stage, film as well as theme park productions, and has a huge love for Theatre. She lived in Germany for 3 years, where she was a nanny and English tutor. Now back in the US, she is excited to combine her love for children and theater at the Orlando Rep as a teaching artist, and is very proud to be involved in the EyePlay program, which focuses on the incorporation of dramatic arts within bilingual classrooms.

Joni Newman

Joni holds a BA in English Education from Brigham Young University and is an MFA candidate in Theatre for Young Audiences at UCF. Although her professional background involves nearly a decade of teaching English to high school and junior high students, Joni has been a performer all of her life. Favorite credits include Marian (The Music Man), Catherine (The Foreigner), Shelby (Steel Magnolias), Belinda (Noises Off), and Beth (Little Women: The Musical). She has also helped assistant direct and choreograph numerous productions in the Utah valley. She is thrilled to work with the Orlando Repertory Theatre where she can help foster meaningful theatre experiences for youth.

Tommy Novak

Tommy Novak(they/them/their)   is a Chicago-based non-binary Equity Actor,  theater director, vocal coach, movement specialist, performer and an adjunct professor of Musical Theater at Carthage College. Tommy has a masters in Music Theater Vocal Pedagogy. They have worked both nationally and internationally as a actor. Some productions Tommy has performed in are Hairspray, Billy Elliot, The Producers, Shrek and Little Shop Of Horrors, Taming of the Shrew, Loves Labour’s Lost, Romeo and JulietTommy has produced and directed many shows some shows are, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Skylight, Wit, Sister Act, Don Giovanni, The Adams Family, The Wild Party, Peter Pan and Annie.  They have a rich experiences in teaching and performing music and drama and has his own unique teaching style.They have worked all over the world as a teaching artist teaching, theater, musical theater, and Design costume and makeup designs classes.  The classroom atmosphere is relaxed and fun facilitating students to their maximum creativity.

Samantha Reser

Samantha Reser just finished her first year as an MFA student studying Theatre for Young Audiences at UCF. Samantha received her BFA in Theatre for Young Audiences with a minor in Directing from Oklahoma City University and has previous teaching artist experience in theatres such as Lake Dillon Theatre Company, Metro Theater Company, Lexington Children’s Theatre, Rocky Mountain Theatre for Kids, Hartford Stage, Oklahoma Children’s Theatre, and the Brass Ring. She is dedicated to pursuing a career in children’s theatre because she believes in the power of using theatre to teach about empathy, conflict resolution, and confidence.

Brooke Shellpfeffer

Brooke has been a part of the REP family since she was 9 years old. From performing in TYA shows, to summer stock shows, being an apprentice, to being an assistant choreographer, to 4 years as a teaching artist. She is currently working as the Education Intern for the 2019-2020 season at Orlando REP, as well as continuing as a teaching artist. You can also find her choreographing the season and competitive high school troupe at Magic Curtain Productions this year. Brooke graduated from Florida State University with a BA in Theatre, with an emphasis in Choreography. She truly has a passion for teaching and inspiring young children and loves getting the chance to share that passion in the Orlando area!

Nathan Stout

Nathan Tanner Stout is a first year graduate student in the MFA Theatre for Young Audiences Program at UCF. Originally from Zanesville, Ohio, Nathan earned his BA in Theatre Arts Studies at Brigham Young University before living and teaching in Italy for 2 years. He has been a member of BYU’s Young Company, touring elementary schools in the Salk Lake Valley.

Mia Strickland

Mia Strickland is a BA Theatre student with a minor in Performing Arts Administration at the University of Central Florida, graduating December 2020. She is originally from Clearwater, Florida where she attended the Pinellas County Center for the Arts. She has previously worked at Ruth Eckerd Hall and the Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center. Past theatrical credits include Evita, Pippin, All the Way, and Les Miserables. Following graduation from UCF, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in arts administration.

Sage Tokach

Sage Tokach is a first year M.F.A. Theatre for Young Audiences graduate candidate at the University of a Central Florida. She’s from Abilene, Kansas, and Orlando is the largest city where she has lived. Sage got her B.F.A. from Oklahoma City University and recently toured with Missoula Children’s Theatre. She has a special passion for outdoor theatre, and she hopes to visit every national park.

Arius West

Arius West graduated from the University of Central Florida with his bachelor’s in Theatre and Education with a concentration in Stage Combat. He seasonally works in Entertainment at Sea World and he is a teaching artist and performer with The Orlando Repertory Theatre. Arius is also a coach for a high school step team, he serves as a lead & assistant teaching artist for Michelee Puppets & ArtReach Orlando, respectively, that integrate the arts within school curriculum, and he joined The Orlando Magic’s coed Hip Hop Dance team, The 407. Considering the impact of Covid-19 on all of this, Arius now spends a lot of his free time virtually connecting, collaborating with other artists, and helping with producing content for virtual productions,  performances, and more!
