What are YOUR wildest dreams? The answer to this question is explored this spring in Orlando REP’s Writes of Spring partnership with the Theatre for Young Audiences program at UCF!
Every year, the Orlando Family Stage sponsors an exciting program called Writes of Spring in which kindergarteners through high school seniors are invited to submit creative writing responses to a prompt. These responses are then adjudicated, and the winning selections are used to create a brand-new play full of student writing. This year over 300 entries were submitted and 65 winners were chosen from across Central Florida.
Schools with winners represented are Bridgewater Middle, St. John Vianney Catholic School, Windermere High, Manatee Cove Elementary, West Orange High, St. Barnabas Episcopal School, Mulberry Middle, West Creek Elementary, New Gate High, Manatee Cove Elementary, Child Star Academy- Lake Mary, Timber Springs Middle, Holy Cross Lutheran, Lake Preparatory, Castle Creek Elementary, and home schooled students.
