Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek The Musical Jr., based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and hit Broadway musical. It is a “big bright beautiful world” as Shrek leads a cast of misfits on an adventure to find true acceptance. When his swamp is invaded by banished fairy-tale misfits – cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions – Shrek sets off on a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, his swamp will be restored to its former solitude. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek The Musical Jr. is an irreverent musical with a powerful message for the whole family.

Youth Academy Performance Workshops are an opportunity for students to study, rehearse, and perform! With a focus on the performer, without costumes or scenery, each actor works on character development, rehearsal etiquette, and the actors process. Performance Workshops may use double casting to provide opportunities for as many students as possible. These fun and challenging productions allow you to make friends, become more confident performers, and learn more about theatre!
