Choosing the Right Summer Camp for Your Child

To enroll in summer camp, or not to enroll in summer camp: that is the question… that we’re here to answer!

When beginning what’s likely to be an exhaustive process of sifting through hundreds of Google search results for “Summer camps in Central Florida”, it can be difficult to find a camp that’s a good fit for your child. The factors a lot of parents take into consideration are two-fold: pros for the child, and pros for the parent.

FOR THE CHILD…

The number one benefit most parents cite on why they want to enroll their child in a summer camp is that it keeps their kiddo’s brain stimulated during the summer, (instead of watching it turn to mush as they’re plopped in front of the TV every day).

More often than not, summer camps provide children with new experiences, allowing them to make few friends, improve their social skills, and build confidence.

FOR THE PARENT…
“I want my child to have fun during the summer, but at the same time, I don’t want to break the bank or become their full-time chauffeur for the next three months.”

Have no fear! Many summer programs offer classes at multiple locations around town to make it more convenient families all across Central Florida to partake in camps. For instance, here at The REP, we have five campus locations across Central Florida for our summer camps: Lake Nona, Rosen JCC in Dr. Phillips, UCF, Princeton Charter House School (Sensory-Friendly camps), and our main campus in Orlando’s Loch Haven Park.
